Xiamen races ahead in coffee industry boom

The 2025 Xiamen International Coffee Fair was held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center from Nov 21 to 23, serving as an international and authoritative collaboration platform for coffee businesses.
Xiamen is striving to expand its coffee industry, attracting numerous well-known brands to establish a presence in the city.
Xiamen provides fertile ground for small entrepreneurial dreams in the coffee sector. At the fair, a project centered around a "mobile coffee truck" captured the attention of many young people aspiring to build a career in coffee.
Coffee trucks offer greater flexibility and lower risk, with a substantially smaller initial investment and operating cost compared to a physical store.
Designed as a platform for integration and innovation, it empowers youth from across the Taiwan Strait to enter the specialty coffee industry in a flexible and creative way.
At the fair site, the presence of the Fortune 500 enterprise C&D Group was notable. Two of its subsidiaries, Living Goods and Light Industry, are providing robust support for Xiamen's coffee industry.
C&D Living Goods has been building a comprehensive global supply chain for high-quality coffee and is currently one of the top three coffee green bean importers in China. Meanwhile, C&D Light Industry focuses on serving midstream coffee processing factories.

Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
