The Map of Selected Coffee Shops in Xiamen 2026 has been officially released.
The guide not only features 50 curated specialty cafes but also identifies 11 distinctive coffee stroll districts and offers three themed exploration trails. It showcases the vibrant diversity of Xiamen's coffee culture and serves as a perfect guide for your Spring Festival coffee adventures.
Since merchant recruitment began in early November last year, the initiative has attracted numerous cafes from across Xiamen, with many residents and tourists eagerly recommending their favorite hidden gems. Through a combination of systematic selection and public participation, this annual coffee map was carefully curated.
From the World Heritage Coffee Block on Gulangyu Island to the Colonnade Style Coffee Block in Zhonghua sub-district, the 11 coffee stroll districts each possess their own distinctive character.
Some are nestled within century-old buildings, some embrace the serene Yundang Lake, and others are rooted in vibrant local communities. These districts have not only become gathering places filled with the aroma of coffee but also popular destinations for city walks in Xiamen, weaving coffee culture deeply into the everyday lives of its residents.
Xiamen is also home to a growing number of green bean importers and coffee roasting facilities. In 2018, Luckin Coffee established its headquarters in Xiamen and has since rapidly expanded to become the largest chain coffee brand in China by number of stores.
In 2026, a variety of coffee-related events are set to launch, including the Museum Coffee Market, Ukopia Coffee Festival, and Xiamen International Coffee Fair.

Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
