The Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, currently in full swing, have captured global attention with their grand showcase of winter sports. Several Xiamen-based brands have made their mark at the Games, with exports of Xiamen-made winter sports equipment surging dramatically.

At the opening ceremony on Feb 6 local time, the Greek sports delegation was the first to enter the arena wearing Anta, a Chinese sportswear brand based in Xiamen, followed by the Singaporean sports delegation, also clad in Anta.

Additionally, various brands under Anta Group provided gear support to 13 Chinese national teams at the ongoing winter sports gala.

The Milan-Cortina Olympic Winter Games have sparked a winter sports craze, driving a sharp rise in sales of ice and snow equipment produced by Xiamen enterprises since last year.

Xiamen Peer Fiber Products Co Ltd has gained recognition among athletes for its ski poles. Riding the Olympic wave, the company forecasts a 20 to 30 percent increase in exports in 2025.

Xiamen Better Sporting Goods Co Ltd offers products such as ice hockey sticks, gloves, and helmets. The company expects its exports to grow by 12 to 15 percent in 2025.

Driven by the Winter Olympics, Xcman (Xiamen) Industry and Trade Co Ltd which specializes in the import and export of skiing equipment, has posted strong performance. In 2025, the company's exports rose by 30 to 40 percent year-on-year, marking several consecutive years of growth in the European market.
