Focusing on Guangdong's strong industrial base and significant investment potential as this year's guest province of honor, the Guangzhou Promotion Symposium for the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) was held on May 21.
The symposium was the second stop in a series of promotional events for the 26th CIFIT. It brought together over 200 participants, including consular officials from the United States, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, as well as representatives of foreign business associations and elites from foreign-funded and private enterprises.

Over 100 companies attended, including foreign-invested enterprises, industry leaders, private firms, and businesses in strategic emerging sectors. The growing diversity of participants and range of cooperation needs further confirms the strong recognition and high expectations that Chinese and international investors hold for the Chinese market and the CIFIT platform.
Before the symposium, the organizing committee arranged for more than 10 investment institutions, including Lichen China, to visit the Huadu district of Guangzhou and the Cuihang New District of Zhongshan. The visits facilitated face-to-face connections between investors and local competitive industries, including life sciences and aerospace.

In addition, nine light-themed exhibition areas were set up to highlight key features of CIFIT, the guest country of honor Finland, the guest province of honor Guangdong, cultural and creative products under the "CIFIT Gifts" brand, the "Hailian Reception Hall", Luckin Coffee, and Ethiopia's coffee industry. These areas also offered interactive experiences and networking spaces, effectively improving information sharing and the precision of project matching.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
