The Jinxin set sail from Xiamen Port's Haitian Terminal on July 6 loaded with 32 TEUs of cross‑border e‑commerce goods, marking the maiden voyage of the Xiamen–Kinmen–Keelong "Mini Three Links" cross‑Strait express shipping service.
After anchoring at Kinmen, an island 10 kilometers east of Xiamen in Fujian province, it arrived at Keelong Port's express cargo area on July 7.
With this new service, the Xiamen‑Kinmen "Mini Three Links" route now covers all four major ports in Taiwan — Taipei, Keelong, Kaohsiung, and Taichung.
This adds a high‑frequency, cost‑effective logistics corridor for cross‑Strait trade, further cementing Xiamen's position as a core hub for maritime express shipments and cross‑border e‑commerce to Taiwan.
The new route operates on a regular "evening departure, morning arrival" schedule, with five fixed sailings per week.
Leveraging the Xiamen Port Silk Road Maritime Cross‑border E‑commerce Consolidation Center (Dongdu) within the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, the service fully utilizes the integrated advantages of terminal, route, and depot operations, improving the efficiency of maritime express shipments to Taiwan.
The new route brings the consolidation center's weekly cross‑Strait sailings to 17 — including six direct routes and 11 "Mini Three Links" services.
Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
