A diverse array of industry expos and art exhibitions are taking place across Xiamen throughout August, spanning sectors such as printing and packaging, home furnishings, and animation and entertainment. Together, they offer a vivid snapshot of the city's thriving convention economy and cultural industries.

The industry expo season got off to a strong start with the 4th Xiamen Printing and Packaging Industry Expo, which was held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center (XICEC) from Aug 8 to 10 and welcomed over 40,000 professional attendees over three days — including buyers from Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, the inaugural Dream Fish Anime and Game Carnival took place at XICEC from Aug 8 to 9. The event brought together popular cosplayers for meet-and-greets, stage performances, and free-roam activities, giving a boost to the city's animation sector through trendy cultural experiences.

Also on the horizon, the 12th Xiamen Lanzhuang Home Expo will take place from Aug 14 to 16 at XICEC, featuring a full spectrum of home products — from custom furnishings and building materials to appliances and soft decoration — along with a range of on-site promotions.

August also brings a vibrant lineup of art exhibitions, starting with three art shows that opened August 8 at the Xinglin Bay Business Center. The "Jue Mountain: Rhythm in Contemplation" Zeng Sankai Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition is taking place at Xiamen Art Museum through Oct 9 and is free to enter.
