Xiamen takes AI token services global with Ethiopia partnership
Xiamen has made its first token-based AI service export to Ethiopia, one of the BRICS countries, delivering plug-and-play AI productivity tools through standardized token services.
The first deal involved 2.7 billion tokens, and within just one week of launch, transaction volume exceeded 10 billion tokens.
Xiamen's first token-based AI export is powered by a homegrown large language model developed by Unisound.
The Ethiopian client is using the AI to generate TikTok live-stream scripts, write product descriptions, and produce multilingual content. This allows their team to focus more on product selection, customer engagement, and boosting live-stream interaction.
Sending AI tokens from Xiamen to overseas markets requires a full chain of capabilities — network transmission, AI inference, data security, and regulatory compliance. This first deal shows that Xiamen has built a robust ecosystem to support such efforts.
Later this year, Unisound plans to deepen its partnership with Ethiopia and establish an "AI Magic" hub to expand its AI services across Africa.
