The 2026 Supply Chain Cooperation and Innovation Conference, a key event of the Gulangyu Forum, was held on Sept 9 at the Xiamen International Expo Conference Center.

Participants gathered for in-depth discussions on topics including AI-enabled supply chains, commodity security, and global resource allocation, reflecting the core challenges shaping global supply chain transformation and China's industrial security concerns.

The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing released the China Supply Chain Development Report (2025-26), providing an authoritative reference for understanding where China's supply chains are headed and how industry is evolving. 

The Supply Chain AI Pilot Application Base also launched its "Smart Chain" large model and research platform, signaling a shift from standalone AI tools to AI-powered support.

More than 700 participants attended, including representatives from government agencies, international organizations, national think tanks, universities, industry-leading companies, and national industry associations.

This year's conference introduced a new high-level salon segment alongside keynote speeches and research releases, giving experts, scholars, and supply chain companies from China and abroad a chance to exchange ideas.

As one of China's first demonstration cities for supply chain innovation and application, Xiamen is using its three major supply chain conglomerates — C&D Group, ITG, and XMXYG — to accelerate the development of a pilot base for AI applications in supply chains, steadily rolling out its own approach to AI-empowered supply chains.
