The "Global Business Lounge at CIFIT" series came to a successful close on Sept 10. Across the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), the series held 11 dedicated sessions, bringing together government representatives from 26 countries and regions spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America. 

The sessions attracted 2,100 business visitors and more than 1,500 companies. Agreements for more than 20 major cooperation projects have been reached so far, with a combined value of 2.68 billion yuan ($399 million).

This year's series attracted more high-level international participation. Cambodia's and Serbia's deputy prime ministers attended in person to present investment opportunities. This gave companies face-to-face access to officials and key institutions from investment destinations — all without leaving Xiamen — keeping them up to date on policies, industries, and projects and steadily expanding their international business networks.

To support companies' global expansion, the series featured regional sessions for Europe, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America, and RCEP, country sessions on Cambodia and Serbia, and industry events on China-Finland smart manufacturing and China-UK infrastructure. Each session also tackled practical issues such as market access, tax compliance, legal risks, and cross-border finance, delivering more targeted support.

This year's series went beyond one-way presentations, combining policy briefings, company pitches, case studies, and signing ceremonies. These interactive formats helped connect policy and resources with business needs and project opportunities, turning talks at the venue into real deals and lasting support.
