A Xiamen delegation, including battery maker Hithium, massage equipment producer Ogawa, and tire maker Cheng Shin (Maxxis), is showcasing the city's advanced manufacturing at the 140th Canton Fair from Oct 15 to Nov 4, drawing buyers from around the world.

On day one, Airplove (Xiamen) Electronics, which has developed a combined air purifier and fan, a heated humidifier for Japan and Korea, and pet-hair-absorbing features, had already received three groups of overseas buyers at its exhibition stall by mid-morning.

A staff member said constant technical upgrades are the company's core edge, with North America its largest market and Europe a key long-term market that has grown to be larger than Japan and Korea combined.

At machinery maker LTMG Group's outdoor booth, about 30 buyers from a dozen countries were in talks by early afternoon, some relying on phone translation apps. The company, which sells forklifts and excavators under its own brand, has ranked first in online sales on Alibaba's logistics and handling category for eight consecutive years.

LTMG's Marketing Director Zheng Xueqing said the company had invited more than 60 potential clients in advance and is focusing on emerging markets. For Middle Eastern buyers, it has added larger water tanks and a dual cooling system to prevent engine shutdowns in high temperatures.

Ogawa, a Canton Fair veteran of more than 20 years, is highlighting coffee machines, personal care products, and air purifiers alongside its massage gear. Business Director Zhang Yanmin said about 70 percent of the company's output is exported, mostly to Europe and the United States. The company holds 2,483 authorized patents and is expanding into AI-powered massage and health robotics.
